Tomasz WALCZYK, Language and the New Media in the Time of Post-truth: A Telepistemological Approach

Cena brutto: 7,00 PLN za szt.

The aim of this paper is to present Lev Manovich’s concept of the language of the new media in the context of the phenomenon known as post-truth. To fulfil this task, it is necessary to describe the relationship between the properties of the new media and the growing importance of undesirable phenomena, such as fake news or filter bubbles. The phenomena in question affect reliability of published information and reveal the role of algorithms in profiling the content presented to users. The conclusions of the author’s analyses are supported by research results in the fields of telepistemology and social epistemology.
