In the article, the author analyses the issue of innovative medicine based on intelligent devices and the relationship between the main protagonists of these (r)evolutionary changes: artificial intelligence and robotics. Until now, medical devices and tools have been oriented towards service providers. Currently, devices are part of the direct relationship between the doctor and the patient. In the future, it will be the relationship between the patient and the robot. A robot (including artificial intelligence) is a tool, an outstanding achievement of human work. One of the risks related to robots is their ability to work autonomously. The use of medical robots creates a chance to achieve (in the near future) broad, democratic access to good quality services in the field of therapy and recovery. Medicine is an area where the robotic ethos is developed. Robots, or innovations in general, are created to increase human freedom.
